Men’s and Women’s Swimming Lose to Brooklyn
BROOKLYN, N.Y— The York College men's and women's swimming teams both lost to Brooklyn College in a CUNY Athletic Conference dual meet Friday evening. The women lost by a score of 83-62, while the men fell 101-67.
Despite the loss, York did win three events on the night.
Oprah Stewart beat three other competitors in the 50-yard freestyle in a time of 31.35, while
Alexandra Castro was a winner in the 100-yard backstroke in a time of 1:26.36.
For the men, Kyle Gomes won the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2:38.23.
York will now be idle until January 9 when they visit the College of Staten Island at 6:00 p.m.
